Does splat hair dye damage your hair?
The majority of Splat hair dye reviews say that the dye is damaging, the color payoff is inaccurate, it fades quickly, and permanently stains the hair. The consensus? Don't risk it! Try looking for another brand with better reviews so your locks can remain healthy and luscious.
What is this? The reason why you shouldn't use Splat is because the hair dye is equivalent to fabric dye which means the vibrant colors will stick around for many more days than for just one holiday, according to Ms. Madison.
Splat hair dye pros
Uses non-toxic ingredients designed to be safe on most hair types and healthy hair. Color lasts up to six weeks. Only the black dye requires a developer.
Splat is a cruelty-free, vegan hair dye that is free of harsh chemicals.
How long does the Splat Hair Color last? Semi-permanent hair dye can last between 4-6 weeks, fading gradually with every wash. The longevity of your color varies based on how frequently you wash your hair, the type of product(s) you use on a regular basis, hair texture as well as porosity.
Bleach, along with the ammonia and peroxide in your bleach mixture, works by deeply penetrating the hair and removing color pigment including both the artificial color (dye) as well as your actual virgin or natural hair color.
I would definitely recommend this product! Don't use this unless you want the color forever, it's hard to get out, baking soda and shampoo helps but the color is vibrant and very clear so it does the job, will damage hair depending on hair type. Worst and most messy stuff for your hair.
We recommend 20 minutes in our Original Color Kits. And give your hair 'time to rest' in between bleaching and coloring. Splat cares about your hair color, but we care about the health of your hair even more.

What age is safe to dye hair?
Hair dyes contain chemicals that in rare cases can cause severe, even life-threatening, allergic reactions. Hair dye manufacturers say they are not intended for anyone under the age of 16.
SPLAT TIP: When applying the dye, feel free to let it soak in for a long time (at least an hour and a half). The longer the color soaks in, the more "true to the box" your results will be, and it will last longer.

It does bleed out the first couple washes so be careful when going to sleep. 5.0 out of 5 stars I'VE BEEN USING THIS COLOR FOR OVER 2 YEARS NOW! LOVE IT! I've been using SPLAT for over 2 years!
